Jobs During Summer in Amherst (Five College Students)

Getting a job can be tough, but here are some tips to getting a job around Umass.

  1. Talk to friends: Sometimes friends work around the Umass campus or off-campus and might be able to get a job for you around the area. Maybe you can take their place when they leave.
  2. Build a resume, pass it off to everyone: Go around town to as many businesses as possible. Don’t just go to the Amherst businesses, but try businesses for jobs around Northampton, Hadley, even Greenfield.
  3. Outdoor jobs, win-win: Some people don’t like outdoor jobs, and think they are hard, but there are many jobs in the Umass and Amherst area. There are a lot of these opportunities, there are good hours, and you can get fit.
